Pricing of P-HUD vs Holo Sight

On pg 144 of Central Supply:

TL10 Holo Sight - Cr2000, +1DM on 50m+ with compensation

TL9 P-HUD - Cr1500, +1DM an ALL ranges with compensation, and have multi-pairing
TL11 P-HUD - Cr2500, +1DM an ALL ranges with compensation, and have multi-pairing

Why is the inferior holo sight more expensive than the TL9 P-HUD?
 
The Holo Sight does have one advantage over the P HUD that you didn't mention - it gives the weapon the Scope trait. The P HUD does not.

At long ranges, the Holo Sight is MUCH better.

As to why the pricing, I have no idea.
 
Probably because no one gave it that much thought when compiling the the CSC. And the scope trait makes the Holosight superior at long range, as C,d. zoom has pointed out. P-Hud is superior at short range.
