Popular places for an Ambush...

Mongoose
What happens when:

A) A unit in ambush reveals and they are amongst an enemy unit? How could the wall my Germans are behind, or the rooftop they are on suddenly be crawling with Russians?

B) Two Ambush units choose the same spot?

C) Is there any way that a unit moving into an area containing a hidden unit spot the ambush?

D) When declaring a hiding point, how precise do you need to be? Can I say "The woods" or do I need to say "2 inches from the top and 3 inches from the right hand side of the woods"?

A. Lots of stuff dies, very quickly. It happens fairly frequently. Ghilie suits or really good camo/jack in the box(closet) troops....

B. see #1. I've only seen this happen once. But it was a definite WTFrak moment.

C. No. But rules for K9s like Starship troopers would be nice. If the K9 takes a Ready action it can detect all hidden units within 12". I'd go for a house rule for troops to do the same withing 6" and auto detect within 3".

D. We either draw a mini picture or put the coordinates for the unit leader's position and then everyone has to deploy in command range when revealed.

Something like this happened in a game of the old BF:Evo against Mongoose Alex. My Force Recon advanced deployed, shot twice and then were jumped by his SAS that were waiting in the bushes. Made for a few tense turns in no-man's-land as the SAS fireteam did the 2" dance in the forest with my Force Recon. :) Wait, that sounds dirty...
