Man, this was such a great game and now it's dead. Thought I'd log in too and add my 2 cents. I think dropping SST was one of the worst moves that MGP has made, worse even then their idea of pre-painted minis.... BF EVO looks good, but no way I'm parting with my hard earned for it. Who know's how long it'll last.....

Bear in mind that Evo MC or WaW just give you the rules and no models that can go out of style.logan said:
In fact this is one of the greatest benefits of historical wargaming, it does not matter at all how long it'll last!
if you decide for a given army - let us say late war US Infantry - you will always find some rules to play with them, the worst thing that can happen is that you have to re-base them or so.
But you will never have the situation that your SF Dwarf (aka as Squats) will become extinct by the whim of a game designer...

maybe but its all different personal feelings and styles.
i love the EVO rules but i hate the no official line of minis, and i hate painting minis, i loved the prepaints, the perfect game for me now would be evo rules and AT-43 minis..
BFE was a well loved game and as new releases were com ming out people where starting to que for the minis, i knew of 5 people local to me who where going to pick the game up once the airpower was released and a few elite units. MGP i feel never knew how close to a breakthrough game they where sitting on when the closed it down,, it was litteraly on the brin k of going big near me,, just needed 2 more releases per faction, that was it..
prepaints, unit cards and good rules can make a winning combination... all BFE needed was more uinits,, and all SST needed was better sculpts or prepaints..
now imagin B5 with prepaints and unit cards 5 years ago
