Pocket Guide Editions of the Entire Traveller Line

Please?

I love the small format. Not only because it really does take me back to 1983 and LBBs, but just in general. I play a lot of indie games who all use the smaller TPB format, and there's just something about the form factor that is compelling.

Agreed, I do like both HUGE lovely books and also dinky pocket books.

Lulu supports this well with small forms and large ones, but I do realise that a mainline publisher like Mongoose would need volume to justify double sizes, but on a line like Trave or RQ that must be achievable.

Pocket sized is much easier on the table real estate.

I also found the pocket edition type easier on the eyes (ironically) - for the brightness of the paper, the font weight in the full size is distractingly bold on all the body text.

Also ironically, I found the extra white space at the top and bottom useful for reference and errata notes.

Yeah, after I got my pocket edition of Traveller, the supplements all look much too big and unwieldy. And there's little real gain in having the core book in the small size If I'm still carrying around the big supplements.

Long live the LBB's!

Oh the irony! Meanwhile, over at Palladium, the boards are afire with cries of outrage that the Robotech RPG was published in a smaller format. lol Oh well.

I do agree though, a set of digest sized sourcbooks for Traveller would be cool.

Well I lived through the CT smaller books, BUT I much perfer the larger format and don't want to be bothered with the smaller anymore. Stick with the larger format and much more indepth books than before.
