Player Galleries II

I guess they don't want to put my earlier submissions into the gallery, but I am trying submit more pics (different pics, of course, changing what I think was the reason they didn't want my previous ones) and I realized a few things...

First, there is apparently no system of letting players know if their pics were accepted and if not then why not.

2nd, of all the different galleries, only the ACTA ones have pics from other games in them.

and finally, there seems to be no way to upload pics from, say Photobucket. This last is most important to me right now since I don't have any way to edit my pics and make them smaller since I reformatted my HD...


Anyone have any answers to the above that I have overlooked?

Ah okay.. How would a normal person find out about that page? There's no link from the homepage or the CTA page? It doesn't appear to be linked to from anywhere. ?!

It's a neat page and all.. but it seems I'm better off putting images somewhere people can actually find them like Flickr or BGG.

I love your more. Could I toss you links from PhotoBucket? They're good quality and not in the MB range as opposed to the ones on my computer.

just email me your pics. try to email them in manageable numbers. If they're too big, I can use photoshop to reduce the size a bit and make it similiar to the ones already on my site. (1024x1280)

In case you're on a PC.. you could just get Picasa which is free which would et you do minor tweaks and save in different sizes at least.

You probably just weren't looking in the right place:

On to the topic at hand, I, too, submitted some images some time ago, but they've never appeared. I'd like to see the miniatures gallery get some more use, myself, as it's a nice place to go to get fleet scheme ideas. The Forums here are good, but it's easier to go to the galleries when you're looking for something specific.

Maybe we should start a poll and if MGP sees there's enough interest, they'll revise the Mini Gallery?

Hmm, that's odd I don't have those tabs on my version of the page. They aren't on either IE or Firefox, but I remember seeing them in the past.

Yeah, those tabs have gone for me too. There is a link to "Miniatures Gallery" on the left menu now though.

I'm using IE 7 and this was a screen cap taken today from the Forums page. It's actually still up at the top of the screen I'm typing on now.

Oh yeah, if you go to the home page then click the forums link, the menu does appear in a top frame.
