Hey everyone! Like you all, I love ACTA, though my biggest complaint at the moment is probably the difficulty of finding other people to play with. So, I thought I'd see about maybe putting together a list for folks to utilize to find other players in their area (or when they're traveling). I'll try to keep this updated as best I can. Just give me your general area (city and state or country if you're in the UK or Europe), and whether you're looking for NA or SF games (or both!).

(I'll further subdivide the list if that proves necessary)

If it helps, there is an older player locator thread here.

Also, as someone who originally hails from that rain-soaked isle, I feel obligated to point out that only Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom; the Republic of Ireland, which runs the rest of the island, is a separate country from the UK (though both are members of the European Union).

Ahh, didn't see that older thread. It's...not quite as well-organized. I know this will take more work, but a comprehensive OP will make it much easier.

Changed "Ireland" to Northern Ireland, and regular Ireland can go in Europe, I suppose.

Actually its well organized.. AND as was done with the player locator in the Traveller forum, people just copied the current post into theirs and added themselves in.

Here - just add yourself INTO the current list so people only have to look at the most current post... not scan through a bunch of posts that have locator entries AND conversational posts.

I agree that having the list in the OP is easier for the reader, and less likely to get messed up. Unfotunately it also relies on the thread starter having the motivation to maintain their post, and not get bored.

Even better though would be a system whereby people can add themselves to a map. That way you can see at a glance who is in your general area.

We asked for other list to be stickied. But I agree it's easier on the eye if echa person on the list is a single line item entry versus a multi-line entry. The other statred that way and got changed.
