I see you are new here and so missed all the earlier discussion about the range of the license. The quick answer is that you won't see TNG ships.
The reason for that is this is the Star Fleet Universe by Amarillo Design Bureau, Inc. with a license from Paramount. While the license never dies (which means this game will be around for far longer than the normal license run of five years), it is restricted to TOS and TAS insofar as ADB had used them at the time of the license. However, there are lots of ships and empires that have been independently developed for your wargaming pleasure.
So hang around and see Gorns and Kzintis and Hydrans and all sorts of goodies!
