Pics of Minis

After waiting for more than a year, I'm finally getting a chance to run my first Mongoose Traveller game this Saturday. I've converted an old adventure for 2300AD, and I've painted some minis to go along with it. Without further ado, here are pics...

Nice pics - and nice minis. :D

What are those? 15mm GZG? And the walker/battlesuits in the bottom pic are 15mm or 25/28mm? Details, please, give us details...

Thanks. Glad you like them.

And yes, the people are all 15mm GZG figures. They rock. Both the figures, and the fine folk at GZG.

The combat walkers are... I'm not 100% sure. I think they are from Grenadier. They're over 30 years old, that much I'm sure of. They're actually from a line of 25mm sf guys, but back then 25 was shorter, so they work well for combat walkers, being larger than a human, but not too large.

I'll rummage around and try finding my "Kafer" pics.

Ahhh... here they are! I'm using GZG's new line of aliens called Crusties as my Kafers. These guys weren't 100% finished when I took this pic. I've splashed a bit more paint on them since, but they won't get all the attention to detail they need prior to game time (tomorrow) since I have other stuff I need to do for the game. Like convert everything to MGT!

And yes, last time I bought a digital camera a macro lens was on my "must have features" list.

GZG do some really cool minis suitable for Traveller and other sci-fi, especially like the 15mm range with spacesuited adventurers, whilst their UNSC Space Marines really fit the Traveller Battledress look :P

They look very cool :)
Thanks! I quite enjoyed painting them. On 1/1/09, I was trying to think of a New Years Resolution, and since I hadn't painted anything in awhile, I decided it would be to paint at least one mini in 2009. I figured I could accomplish that (I don't see any sense in making one that you don't have a chance at actually doing), and sure enough, I did. With room to spare.

I agree. They've got a great collection of figures, and 15s are very affordable, even when the pounds to dollar conversion rate isn't great.
