Finlos and I discussed the use of PF's (mini ships) with their own sheets but they would have to move as a flotilla. The sheets were easy to bring across from SFB, the conversion was simple. The house rules on PF's would be they operated as a 6 group flotilla with 1 leader version (50pnts), 4 base fighter versions 25pnts , and a scout version of 125pnts.
The leader would unify and make the flotilla more effective. If the leader was destroyed, all the PF's in that flotilla would receive a max sp 10 movement and a wpns crit of -1.
If the scout was functional all PF's would receive a stealth 6 bonus. The scout PF does not operate as a normal scout and if crippled/destroyed the flotilla loses the stealth bonus. This would represent the EM effect of a scout PF. Also any critical hits that remove the scout trait would also remove this bonus.
Any critical hits to PF's would be recorded normally on their individual sheets.The PF's with plasma D or drones are unable to reload them and would need to return to a base or tender. The plasma F and photons would use a normal reload option.
If you have the escort version of a PF it would function under all normal large ship rules as an escort. Just replace one of the base PF's with the escort.
I also developed a ship sheet for a PF tender and included in it's cost the amount for a PF flotilla (275pnts). I used the old SFB books to look for the way to convert them and it isn't too hard.
We are also using the shield scores in the Front/Port/Starboard/Aft arrangement with values drawn from SFB. I use home made sheets under Microsoft word as my format.
