Passenger Space/Capacity

There is also a "Barracks Area" used for the SORT Team Deployment Shuttle in Book 5: Agent. This is 30 troops in 3 tons...

3 dtons is 43 cubic metres. So they get 1.45 cubic metres each. Ouch! Not too much headroom there.

I have seen a 0.5 ton Acceleration Couch, but not in MGT. It seems to have been missed in the small craft section of HG.

The Boarding Shuttle in Signs & Portents 84 has 20 acceleration couches at a total of 10 dTons and Cr 600.000 (0.5 dTons & Cr 30,000 each).
Source isn't referenced, but it seems fair enough.

Source is probably MgT HG errata for p61.

Yup, as I stated in an earlier post in this thread.

See Mongoose's "Alien Module 3: Darrians", page 85, bottom of left-hand column & top of right-hand column.

"Acceleration Benches ..[e]ach ton..can seat six passengers and costs 10,000Cr."

I think I'll go with the rule of 2 passenger couches per Dton. That seems to be a relative standard amongst all the different rule versions. At least for "passengers"...

I think for assault shuttles/troop carriers, it would be more like 3 per Dton. Now if we factor in deuce-and-half's, I think that jumps to like 5 or 6.

Good thing soldiers in the future don't have to ride in the back of those things! Agrav has gotta be better than the shocks on that. Still, beats walking I guess.
