Paperback?

Still no news about paperbacks, I see...
Come on guys, how long does it take to print some soft-cover books?

Printing is the easy part!

What is important to us is distribution - basically, we want to do it right, and ensure Lone Wolf gets into major book stores in both the UK and US (at the same time, which is proving the hard part). Give it the best chance possible.

We are currently in talks with distribution about this and, as soon as we get a green light, the clock will be set for a six month countdown (which is how long it takes to get things moving in the more mainstream book market, for best effect).

You'll hear it here first!

Thank you for the news msprange!
So we won't see paperbacks until the end of the year, more or less... It's a pity, but I understand it's not as easy as it could seem from "outside". Obviously, I didn't want to be unpolite. I hope you didn't take offence at my post...

Well, you guys are going to get a lot of books at the same time. You won't have to wait 2-3 months between each books (at least, for the first 7-8 books) like Mega-Deal buyers.

I thought I'd chime in and ask (read: pester) about the paperbacks. I was disappointed with the CE FftD, but if the PB are cheaper I'd buy up the first 5 in one fell swoop. Is August the newst ETA for them all or just FftD?

IIRC, there is another thread saying that the paperbacks won't start appearing until January.

Any news on the paperbacks? I notice that they're not listed among the releases due during the first two months of next year.

Hey there,

We are just setting things up for the novels at the moment - we are looking for a simultaeneous release in UK and US book stores, which is taking some time. Still, Lone Wolf deserves no less!

:) Thanks for the quick reply!

What about the paperback edition, guys? I heard they were expected to come off in january or february, but I still don't see any reference on the main page... Let us know! :)

No, as we have said, the softbacks won't appear until the bottom end of 2009 at the earliest. These things take time!

I'm like Ningauble: I don't remember seeing any news about a release at the end of 2009. Anyways, hope that when they go out, they will be as popular as they were back in the 80s. :)

The bottom end of 2009 or later?!? While foreign paperback editions have started months ago? More than two years later than what the first news in 2007 told? Oh, come on! I'm aware it has to be difficult to get a simultaeneous release in UK and US, and, as you often write, "Lone Wolf deserves no less", but this seems a bit too much... a cunning reader could say it's only a way to sell more CEs... :?

Hmmm...:?
I don't remember any mention of late '09 either...
I've given up waiting for the LW paperbacks anyway.
Thank goodness we have projectaon!!!

Yeah, I'm beginning to loose hope. I do not want to order things over seas... I haven't tried but I suspect that so much can go wrong in the handling of the package that it gets lost on the way...
