Looks nice. I don't suppose the painter tried a bit of free-hand on the belly-bird?

he did, looks good.
whether matt will post it is up to him

It's much, much worse than that, I'm afraid.....

You see, in order to see the bird, he'll have to flip the model over.

 Yup.

I am not sure I see the point of all that effort to paint a bird on the belly of the ship. Put it on the top so players can at least see it. :D

NO way am I going to all the extra effort to paint a decent looking bird on a Rom ship and then hide it where no one will see it during gameplay.

Well guess that depends a lot on are you doing game-piece or art-piece ;)

Each to his own. If you are really good and prefer top quality over speed sure.

Myself I think I'll ignore them...'cause me painting them would suck anyway.

BTW the mongoose flight stands allow for some posing so technically ship could possibly be posed tilting in a way that shows the painting even while gaming.

Down to the fact that I am sanity challenged, a penalty for delving too deep into some research I did on some Third Space models I made a few years ago................oh the eledritch horror of it all. 8)

For our new SFU friends who may not know of Third Space, (a very wise move), it's a B5 reference

If that's hand-painted, it is nothing short of awesome!

In fact, even if it were a decal printed from something drawn on a computer, it would still be superb.

Thanks guys much appreciated

Hey thanks Adrian, believe me tho my computer drawing skills are non existent. Hand painted, and even changed quite a bit from my original intention when I sat down to paint. I did use a figure out of my collection as emergency inspiration tho.

Blocked the shape in in dark red first and made sure it was even before I painted the feathers, took about 3 hours . Problem will be repeating it for my own KR. Lol
