2. With internal cargo, shouldn't be able to tell without a densitometer.
3. Since it's a pattern of behaviour, presumably forced on by said freighter having a full belly, it could be that model doesn't have inertial compensation, and/or gravitation, so pilotting is conducted more gingerly.
