Since there really is nothing about it in the rules, I guess it can´t.

Reverse as in fly backward?
Moving is going "forward" following a straight line (with or without angle) plus turning as per the turning rules.
This is for common ships, SM ones can do nearly whatever they want but have to :
Show where is their forward arc at the end of the mouvement (Vree friends
)
And for Shadows not to turn if they use their special rule.
