Not long now!

Ok, were about 3-4 months from the launch now Im guessing (Leaving a lil time for delays etc), so I was just wondering what sort of tasty treats people are looking forward to being unvieled in upcoming S&P articles?

Personally I'd like to see some of the new Forth background we were told about, I had heard it had been completly fleshed out, so I was a little dissapointed that the article we were provided with was just a rehash of all we'd seen. Im sure it was interesting for the newer players though :D

I'd also really like to see how PAMI are handled in this version. For me the flexibility of a PAMI platoon was one of the greatest joys of SST v1, you could pretty much always bring something new and unexpected to the forces, so Im very interested in how this will be implimented in the new system.

Finally, I would honestly like to see some priviews of the SST:Evo miniatures, particualrly the skinnies.
I know we've seen some exo's, LAMI and forth, but we haven't actually seen anything sculpt wise that wasn't around a year ago, also it was never actually confirmed that they weren't just the existing lead miniatures undergoing the new painting process....

Anyway, Im quietly psyched (Managed to get two new people to play just last week), but trying to keep my hopes low, just in case...

Well I'd like to read something along the lines of 'It's all been a big joke... Starship Troopers will not be redone in pre-painted plastic, nor will the rules be re-done.' I can dream can't I?

I'd like to see more of a preview of things to come about the game rules and mechanics, and yes some previews of the Skinnies would be nice. Skinnie Soliders would be ace :D

But, I've a bit of a bad feeling that it will be a rehash of previous material... I'd love to be proved wrong on this one.

I definatly agree with the hope for legible cards!!!

I am looking forward to the new game, having played a fair bit of BF:Evo it feels really quite clunky to go back playing old style SST, I just think the Evo ruleset is an improved revised version, looking at what worked well and keeping it and what was good but not quite there and improving it.

As for the pre-paints I am curious to see what they are doing about replacing the metal figures, (I know nothing about molding) assuming they need to make new molds for the plastic pre-paints then its an oppotunity to refine the old models, even thou I think that for the most part they where great already.

Just wondering why friday seems so far away...

I think the 'faithful' (I include Max in this, he may be a bit of a moaner  but he's reliable LMAO!) deserve more of an idea whats coming.

Matt is just being cruel . . . . . . .

I was rather happy with the last article in S&P, but more is welcome.

The focus doesn't need to be entirely on the Forth though.

I'dd like to see some drawings of things to come.

And a date for release.

Because right now I have no idea of how much to save for when (as for the moment I invest in BF:evo and some minis for BSG)

The current release date is August I beleive for wave 1 mini's. (those we have stat cards for already) If there is any change to this I am sure we will find out in the forth coming S&P.

I am just desperate to get hold of some more unit cards, as BF:Evo is taking over too much, and we haven't played SST or STevo in months... Need something to refocus intrest on STevo.

I would have to say apart from the Warrior variants I was a tad disappointed in last months S&P.

What's the scale of the new stuff? Is it the same as the old SST or are the models the same size as the Evo ones?
I never even thought about it before. As this means either my old SST models won't match, or my plans for using evo models as militia etc.. are scuppered.
I've got a major problem with scale..... my nephew was trying to play with clix aliens and plastic toy soldiers, I couldn't handle the discrepancy. He's only eight :)

Same scale as before, from what i've read. :)

Well, I'm not all to hyped about SST Evo at all, I must say.

I still have to get a large-scale SST game as it is, but I guess I'll pick up the Evo rules and see what it's all about.

Cards would be nice though.

We were playing 4000 points a side by the time we finished playing SST... Evo being on the horizon put us off playing until the new stuff arrived. To be honest, games were getting a bit predictable anyway.

I'm looking forward to SSTEvo in general!
I never got into SST because of the cost and need-to-paint double whammy.
Having pre-painted minis is going to make a world of difference for someone like me.

Personally, I am only interested in the MI and the Arachnids. I dunno, might possibly change once the figures are released, and I'll probably pick up a little of each for demo purposes...but the MI and the bugs are where I am heading.

I'm hoping to see some more pictures in the upcoming S&Ps. And session reports, like they did with BEvo. Those got me hella interested in the game.

I'm going to GenCon in August, so I hope I see something there. I'm most curious about the MI and if/how the force lists are changing since it may affect my current wysiwyg force structure and figure conversions I'm working on.

I also still plan on playing v1 as well as trying SST:Evo, since I've got a fair number of the GF9 templates and markers for the classic system as well as my own scratchbuilt tunnel assets.
