Nolo'tar and Troligan

hey guys, these ships are now up on the upcoming releases board.
the nolo'tar looks a bit big IMO.
and as for the troligan, i actually prefer the old model, the new one looks like a cartoon fish, paint it orange and white it could be nemo.

yeah, im going to decide soon whether ill ever want any troligians, and if i do ill buy them soon while dancing dryad still have some because the new design looks too cartoonish/ wierd for my liking, the old one was much better

theres new designhs for the drakh coming, and it looks good so far. the troligan didnt need a redesign yet, and this one is bad, but the nolo'tar will fill a gap for the ISA.

if it looked anymore disney i reckon they might sue. Ive noticed that most of the new ship designs look different to the old ones, different style (sorry if that sounds poncy or stupid - its not meant to) i hope that they wont all be like that, the old ones looked much better

I think the Troligan would look better with a darker shade of blue.

I am sure their are, but they should have been done first! (yes yes, I know, Broken record, but when you have been waiting 12 months between ordering, and receiving your ship you get a bit miffed!)

where will the nolo'tar fit in? I have an ISA fleet but i wont add the nolo'tar becasue it reminds me too much of the dreadful rangers film

I hated the old Troligan. Very fragile model with the "guns" sticking out. I think everyone just didn't model them. I did and live in fear of them snapping off. I also thought the old ones were just a "metal chit." I like the 3D new one, however, it does remind me a bit of the Coneheads ship. I just hope they change the rules for this ship a bit. I think all it needs is more damage to make it do what it was supposed to do. I no longer think a hull 6 is appropriate with stealth.

As for the Nolo'Tar - yep, too big, but still a good looking ship. Let's see what it is - if it's a patrol ship, I'll be pissed. Battle, I'll accept the size without question. I suspect lots of troops will be on.

Good work Mongoose! I get to buy even more ships this year!

Quite Like the Minbari ship - I think - looks more Volon like - as if the tenticles were about to unravel - perhaps it should have been a future Minbari ship when they resemble their masters more?

yeah, if it was a patrol ship, that would really suck, it dwarves the 2 patrol level drakh scouts! I would like to think the designers wouldn't design the model that big if it was below raid

well consider the armageddon ships but the ISA has something at every PL raid and above.

TBH the Trolligan is not a bad sculpt, though the skeletal/shark appearance does make you think someone like the Drakh would be using it (if painted black, and highlighted in dark shades). Also the resculpt, is not going to get Minbari players to use it, its the stats that leave it out of a battle.

The Nolo'Tar, looks more like something the 'Gropos' would be using, and not the rangers.

so it's a patrol or skirmish ship, sigh, I like the design, don't get me wrong, it's just, well, far to big!
wonder if It would shrink on a hot wash?

now then, what worries me the most, is that I was told on e-mail the drakh Mo-Ship would be ready for 30th of march, making it pretty much next months release... and no picture for that :-(
