New Vehicle

Banded Mongoose
I'd add a four passenger, six wheel cargo truck, maybe lightly armored, and capable of mounting a lighter weapon in a top mounted turret, probably around TL8. (Sort of like the flatbed Humvee...)
Edit: here's a pic!

But with a longer bed and double back wheels.

Not trying to be a troll here, but my original concept was that there should be a cargo vehicle in the mix in the primary book's vehicle list.

We'll put one in the Vehicle Handbook but while it would be nice, I don't think it is necessary for the Core.

So are we totally redesigning Vehicles Design again?

Totally, no. We are going to start with the last edition as a baseline. However, there are a few things I want to remove, simplify and add, and the actual numbers/figures need adjusting too.

So, same but different :)

Good, except for some rocky bits the last vehicles system was good simple and useable. All I kinda wish for is a rough idea how to convert the Hull and Structure to get the New Hull Number....

There is one, it's called the Air/Raft....

Yes, with Cargo=0, Air/Rafts are certainly cargo vehicles on the level of a hot wheels car.

I am not at home at the moment, but wasn't there a four seat and two seat with cargo space versions of the Air/Raft in the past? Sort of a car/pick up style versions?

Ack! I forgot that the Air/Raft has lost its 4 ton cargo capacity again..... You would figure a vehicle that is the size of a Duce-an-a-Half would have Cargo Capacity....

Going back to CT, the Air/Raft could carry 4 people AND had 4 tons of cargo.

All in a 4-ton package. Once again proving that hulls have no size... :D

4 Metric Tons not displacement tons.....

No, in CT there was no reference to metric tons. EVERYTHING was Dtons. So an Air/Raft took up 4 Dtons, carried 4 people and also could haul 4 Dtons of cargo.
