Pacifier - interesting idea - A thought - can you switch your Defensive stance in the middle of dogfights if say against a Nial and breeching pod? Presume not?

I think the Lakata may be a bit good with the increase in guns and all the fun new stuff - could be wrong.........also why would it carry any Kotha's at all once the Pacifier comes out? I did wonder about a bomber with a comms disruptor instead?

The Toshikin - cool pic - very nice (be nice to see a model of it :D )- very interesting ship if very un Brakiri - fast and agile but not so good at dishing out the pain. Guess they have been trying to make their own ships to cope with White Stars?

Fireraptor - meh - really dislike the model - and its still not really worth it - command bonus could do with a boost - perhaps a "borrowed EA missile rack to loose the SL? Sadly Its sufffers by comparison with the Warlock in every way - even with your upgrades............If the Brakiri / Narn get intercetpors perhaps the Drazi should too?

I think the Greyhawk / Stormhawk should keep dodge
 
the firehawk (which they are based off) doesnt have dodge IIRC.
as to the kotha, thats being changed to act as an interceptor :D thats its only purpose in life.

the carrier isnt that good, its got about the firepower of a bimith but slower. but also with alot of rather crappy fighters.

yeah toshikin is more advanced, also wanted to see another ship use the lance besides the kaliva.

do you thnk the Fireraptor could get more love (or just go on an diet )?

I like the idea for your varients so far only change i'd go for is mayby give the Pacifier's twin-link having 2 weapons. Just a thought tho. :P
 
yeah its still a bit rubbish - I'd Give it Command +2, and interceptors 2 as well - its almost as good as a Warlock then :)
 
thought that was the Jucaya. there are more variants as well in the main thing, this is just a taster :D
plus some of my variants may make it to P&P but not ones shown here which is why havent shown them.
 
I really liked the concepts.

Abbai

Pacifier - I like the idea... one possible exception is that due to the wording of dogfight rules if the Abbai win the first round they will force a second, maybe they could count as having killed but do not remove the fighter. That way 'winning' isn't just a way of getting shot at twice as much.

Lakara Carrier - Lakara as a whole is not a strong ship, producing a carrier on its base frame is a great idea. The sixteen fighters is good, any intention to allow swaps for other fighter frames? Kotha - fighter intercept or ship interceptor? Pacifier - anti-fighter ship. Maybe the comm disruptor based bomber mentioned above.

I would boost the command bonus to +2... at least they start at zero then.

Also seems a natural ship to have comm disruptors of its own. Follow the Juyaca route and have them to front three side or one on a turret, just a few dice... one more last ditch defense to prevent easy removal of the 'base ship' you fleet would maneuver around.

Just saying remember this is a battle level choice whose fighters aren't going to kill crap and whose lunge range (move plus weapon range) is tiny. Your trying to match a Liata here in effects dished out over a scenario.

Brakiri - don't see the ship as un-brakiri, remember the brakiri have multiple firms making their ships, this is just the same one that made the fast war hulls of theirs going for a smaller more agile market.

Drazi -

good hulls... the smaller ones do need their dodge retained.

War level ship -

Speed - this should be one of the fastest war hulls in the game, given they 'concentrate on speed' so bump to 10 maybe. Not sure on war ship speeds but I though eight wasn't that elite.

Traits - would bump the AF to 4. I know that it feels a bit un-Drazi, but this thing shouldn't die easily to standard dogfighters, and right now that can happen all too easily with a few lucky fighter crits. Four with a guard hawk on IDF nearby means it should last one round vs the swarm, and allows the ship to IDF itself for some effect.

Weapons fit is okay if it can endure to fight them. Allow the Star Snake to act as an interceptor and this ship is pretty good at that point.

Maybe instead of a single missile rack of six dice two four die ones instead so you can alternate fire or something.

I actually like the model... maybe I'm just a fan of the Fattybird.
