hey, have any of you ever dressed up as conan or another hyborian [or other REH] character for a halloween or other fancy dress party? any fun tales to tell us, please?

i am usually very popular as a primitive Raquel Welch in my skimpy fur bikini and home-made spear. i've collected quite a few notches and guys nick-names carved on my shaft over the years.

I just read the pirate story which was pretty cool, done as verse. It is neat that you refer to him as Amra throughout it--adding weight to the rep he has that causes his cover to be blown in "Hawks over Shem". Also you evoke very much the lusty and battle and loot hungry younger Conan, less grim and brooding than he can be following Belit's death.
