New starship troopers MI stuff

There would be a lot of interesting rules spawning from this model: The Fleet's carriers or whatever they are. (these >)

These would be nice to see in the game as sort of a mega transport for all yer units. (say you are playing a very large battle where the terrain is set up as planets and you would use these ships to bring your units to different planets)

And if MI can have those, arachnids should be able to have transport bugs or bug meteors that act like nukes on impact for anyone cought in LZ and roll a slightly weak roll against bugs inside the meteor

wouldnt work as a mini game, but mahbe as a stand alone game of destroy the asteroids, or for the bugs destroy the ships with plasma bug blasts.

trouble is the mi would only get to shoot down asteroids, and bugs would only get to shoot ships from the planet surfase, there would be no ship to ship batles.

But they only get some plasma bugs as "weapons" and aren't too dangerous to fleet assets anyway, so it would make for some rather boring battles.

Btw (not to create an extra thread): would it be possible to upgrade the "CAP specials" box with a javelin trooper, since the veteran and female CAP boxes does not contain any?

well, i wasnt really thinking about ship to ship battles... cause arachnid transport bugs try and covertly do their job. But this idea is good for people who do large campaigns where there are alot of tables to simulate worlds.. or the MI's Carriers could act as a reinforcement deployer.

This gives me an idea from the movie!
Remember when Rico was put in the medlab? You should be able to bring wounded soldiers that medics try and heal onto a dropship and into the carrier. (oh yeah, the only way you should be able to get troops into the carrier is by having them get on dropships and then have dropships get in carriers)

I'll try and make a home made bug meteor sometime from now to this weekend.

(edit) I forgot, there would be alot of inbetween tables for space
