New Skype game.

Due to the postponement of Loz' Skype game, I've decided to start up a Skype based game myself.

The game will be a full campaign set in Roman Britain year 407. It is a low fantasy setting that is humanocentric and magic is rare. There will be a fantasy element, so magic is powerful if acquired and monsters do exist, however rare.

A document detailing all variant rules and house rules will be forthcoming for all interested. It will also contain new professions, combat styles and cults as well as restricted items based on the time period.

Thanks

I've posted a link to this on the Alternate Earth RQ Yahoo Group http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/alternateearthrq/message/800

Unfortunately, I can't make a Skype game, although I'd love to.

Absolutely. I'm not totally focused on the King Arthur myths, but it's there. The game is gonna be at 9:30 PM Friday nights, Eastern US (Florida) time.

I currently have 3 players so it's a little light. Send me an email if you are interested.

Nobody? Dang.
You've given yourself a hard product to sell - it's a campaign so therefore people will only step up if they want to make a long term commitment, also it's low magic so that cuts out a lot of what makes RQII different from other games, even prior versions of RQ, in that it has easy access to very powerful magic. I wish you luck, but the first reason (it's a campaign) is the reason I didn't put my name in the hat. Good luck, though, and props for making the offer!

Phil: I know. Most people are so hard wired into DnD / Warcraft / Tolkein that old school historic based games are tough to push. Anyway, if you change your mind, my skype name is jujitsudave1.

Hector: I wish the UK people could play too. The way you guys post, you are all a wealth of knowledge.

2 characters are ready for the game:

Publius, a Pictish Beast Hunter driven by vengeance

Cassius, a Brigand turned Gladiator on the cusp of freedom
