New ship viewers

Hello all.

I was inspired by the works of several industrious individuals here on the forums. There are already many great ship viewers out there, but I wanted to try one for myself. If people really like them, I could produce some more on a request basis. These sheets are a little cumbersome to work with and I do not really intend to do the whole inventory, especially with 2e around the bend.

I have one sheet customized for each ship in my fleet. There is a tracker for xp earned during the battle. I just use a C for cripple, S for skeleton crew and an X for destroyed. You have to sort of remember to erase or black out the C and S if the same ship destroys the target later, but it’s not a bad system.

All the benefits from the Refits and Special Duties end up getting put directly in to the stat block for each ship.

Fighters are numbered, since I number all my bases. When they are destroyed, I write that in the space on the sheet, so I know to buy more after the battle.

I had thought about using a magnetic sheet behind these so I could track interceptor dice with magnetic tokens, but that seemed like an expensive idea. The main purpose of these sheets is to print off something clean every battle that has all the updated info on them. This means I will not be gluing a magnet to them or laminating them for dry erase markers.

I’d love to hear some suggestions or feed back. I’ve only played a few games so far, but this is most of what I can think needs to be kept track of.

P.S. All the pictures are snagged from the Mongoose site. Thanks to the Mongoose team for the great images.

Oh, I'm sorry if that is the case.

It's a new service from them and I never tried it before. I thought you did not need to be a member. It was the only file host I was willing to use at work.

I was completely logged out and able to download the file for free without any account. I thought that would be the case for others as well. I will check with some other people here at work to see if they can get it.

I'll post it elsewhere this weekend if this place does not work.

*Update*

I just tried some one else's computer. The guy is computer illiterate and has nver been to the site bfore. There is no need to be logged in to download the file. Just go to the URL and download it.

These are pretty good. Love the idea of using magnets to track things, but I think you're right about the expense.

I sometimes wonder if I'm the only person out there that doesn't save and re-use ship sheets. Seen a lot of talk about laminating them and using dry erase markers, but never thought much about doing it myself. Just print out more. Plus it is harder to handle dynamic stuff like weapon and fighter load out. Have to cross it off and then scribble it in. A bane for those of us with bad handwriting...

Best of luck on completing more of these, but you're right not to go too deep before second edition. There are going to be a lot of changes.
