that is my goal during the design of "living ships" ,example for shadows.

Actually I think youll find your fairly safe with 'Shadows' since I'd wager its quite hard to copywrite the name Shadows since B5 is hardly the only thing to use that particular word....

True, you couldn't copyright the name itself. But you could copyright the concept of an alien race called the Shadows, along with their "look and feel".

i use picture tool programs to type in text. the most have such options.

From a photographic point of view if you take a photo, that photo's copy right is owned by the photographer unles he/she sell's said copy right.
How ever the object being photographed my be copy righted which means selling the photograph could be a breach of copy right.
Legal stuffs a bloody nightmare ain't it :lol:
