Any scenarios I know Matt doesn't want I'll be putting on here.

I'd be interested in peoples comments, on this scenario or the one in the Fleet update.

I really liked the Wounded Lion scenario. It's nice to see 'storyline' scenarios - one of my favourite campaigns for B5 ACTA was the Masked Malice scenario, which used the same ships in an end-to-end story.

In fact, you could probably convert it over very easily; initial scenario is a federation frigate of some class being hunted in an asteroid belt by a D7C command battlecruiser rather than the strike carrier/white star of the original. Most of the rest of the scenarios can be adapted as well - although the 'not yet at war' bit with the centauri/minbari etc from the second half could be dropped.

Thanks for sharing! I really prefer scenario play as opposed to simple points-match slugfests. I hope we see more SFB scenarios ported over to ACTA:SF as time passes. I'd gladly buy a supplement with nothing but scenarios, either print or PDF, if Mongoose is looking for something to fill out their release schedule! :wink:

I expect the issue there is that most SFB scenarios are probably only a few ships (or they were when I played it decades ago), whereas ACTA is more a fleet level game. Many of the scenarios that have 1 or 2 ships a side probably work very badly in ACTA.

The bigger issue is that most SFB scenarios are about a battle with certain units that aren't in ACTA yet. Everything with fighters or PFs being the obvious example.

I've converted a couple of SFB scenarios over and sent them to Matt, as well as plenty of original ones. I'm currently working on a mini campaign and a tactics article, but I keep managing to put in a ten hour day at my 9-5 job and not having the energy to get stuff finished.

Depending on what kind of material you may have on hand, it might be worth looking at the list of scenarios published for Federation Commander. (Many of the scenarios in FC are themselves adaptations from SFB originals, and have thus been "pre-prepared" in terms of paring things down to support the kind of units seen in that game, and thus here in ACtA:SF.)

Many of those scenarios are available for free, being included in various issues of the online (PDF) Communiqué.

There's a set of FC scenario database files over in the Commander's Circle, if it helps.

Almost all the SFB stuff (still can't find scenario books 1 & 2) but none of the FC stuff.

In that case, the online Communiqués might be an option; they are grouped in matches of 12 (per year) in the Commander's Circle. (Here's the link for last year's issues; if you go to the "resources" section on the left, the other batches should pop up there.)

The scenario database I linked to above should include at least one file which lists scenarios by location, and by the empires involved. That shoudl make it easier to pick out those relevant to the empires already in ACtA:SF.
