Very interested in the game and I have a chance to pick up some of the Older models dirt cheap. Is there any difference in the AOG and Mongoose stuff? I heard a lil rumor that it is some of the same castings.....

oh...I'm in Cincinnati BTW...anyone in the area?

There is a group of us meeting at Acme Games on Salem off Beechmont on Fridays. WE are taking a break this week, but will be meeting next Friday to start a mini, inter group tournament. PM me and I can send you the current rules we are playing. A couple lurk on the forums including Admiral Phlop and Fuzzilogic.

Mongoose is producing the large models that AOG started out with. If they are the small models then they are the Fleet Action scale. YOu can play with any scale including counters, but you will not get the newer ships in the smaller scale.

We will be restarting our campign, with a different format later this spring.

The models are pretty much the same.

Mongoose has intigrated some of the smaller Fleet Action ships into the game giving it a better sense of scale. They have also come out with a shed load of new models (and stats to go with them).

What are the old ships you're looking at? Maybe some are more whorth buying than others?

Well with the plans to do Earth Alliance.....I picked up Wars 2nd Edition Minari Box fleet.....Babylon 5, and Super Carrier Posidion.

All $8 bucks each.....couldn't pass that down.
