The Drakh get surface detail and Brakiri and Centauri don't?!
I see no surface detail! That carrier has big blank panels. A bit of detail, and the lighting makes it look like more... but its mostly curvy plain panels.

Those panels (and the lines they'll make) are miles ahead of the Adira's smooth surfaces. Those'll take a wash, a dry brush an alternate color scheme.

Panels are details on space ships. Still, the Drakh pulled off the smooth well - I liked THEM smooth - it was how they were in the show. To put panels on them now.... Ah Gawd.... who's in charge here?

there are more than just lines, there's ridges along the sides and etched lines in the head

but I'll wait until I see a model, not a computer drawing

The Kabrokta is a cool design, could do with more detail though :-(
The MyrMydon looks a bit, um, err, not EA. the blue star looks pretty whishy though.

I like the Kabrokta, but the Myrmydon looks like it should have Jaffa crew in it

I see surface detail but whether it will carry over onto the model, that's the question!

not sure that thing looks Drakh though....

Looks like something out of Battle Star Galactica.

Also, I think this needs to be said. We aren't busting on the designers of these models, because the first 3 are pretty good... but this Drahk Carrier is NOT very Drahk.

It should be spindly like the raiders with talons like on the cruiser...

But that's just me... :?

Really like the Blue star and barring the lack of surface detail the Kabrokta looks cool. Plus it sounds like it could fill a nice role in the Brakiri fleet as they lack a decent brawler or at least currently a ship with a solid punch.
Of course a carrier with more than 4 flights wouldn't hurt either.
I've noticed that the Brakiri seem to love ground assaults They have high troups/multiple dedicated assault ships. Not quite what you'd expect from a race of coroprate traders.

Its all those hostile take-overs...

Its mentoined in the fluff...

Plus the background for the Brakiri has all the ships coming from different corporarions, the Pri-Wakat specialised in ground troops (security, mercenaries, that sort of business venture).

Remember the Brakiri aren't a race of traders, not like the Ferengi or other similar star trek races; their a race of businessmen, they run all sorts of different businesses...

less damage to infrastructure if you send in troops compared to orbital bombardment, and the less money they have to spend to get a planet making profit the better.

It was the East India Company who conquered India for Britain

there is historical precedent, some would say the US/UK invasion of Iraq was a corporate affair

I see no problem in the Brakiri corporate elite going to war to secure resources

Not quite the same as your other example, the (dis)Honourable EIC had its own army, the troops in Iraq are government forces (supporting corporate interests maybe...).

Concerning the Blue Star - what's a "Dual Jump Drive" system?

Yeah...

Good point actually, they made a great fuss about the WS being jump capable yet so small, then they manage to build something even smaller that can... (though we have to accept that, as it was shown to have jump engines in Sleeping in Light...)

For a Crusade era WS I'm okay with them getting a jump drive in a smaller ship. I just want to know what the "dual" means. It smacks of a new trait.

Well 20 years HAS passed between WS and Sleeping in Light :D

Guess they advanced tech even further.

Short of allowing bonehead manouver be used(hope not. Roughly 20" radius all-dead bomb...) I would presume that if there's rules it simply allows opening jump point without recharge period.

They currently have more assault ships than the Narn or Drazi though...
Still fair enough it's a nice quirk about the fleet and if it fits the fluff I'm not going to complain.
