We have just posted a preview of the new Magnamund map that will be appearing in the new gamebooks - you can find it on Flight From the Dark's (collector's edition) own page.

It looks more vibrant and seems to have more depth than the other one. Are we going to be spoiled with previews of all the maps? (Because I have been known to take scans and try to piece them together into one huge map for reference purposes)

Nice, but looks a bit demanding on the printing facilities...

Aha, so that is the Alema Bridge? I hope Joe has revised the text to make it fit then...

I like the new map. However, some people at Project Aon noticed some names that are different from the original map of 1984:

Typos:
-Broks should be Broka
-Thes should be Thet
-Kirlie should be Kirlu

Missing:
-The names of the tunnels (Tarnalin, Calencut, Wiedon)
-The War Banner of Prince Pelathar
-Wreck Point on the southern tip of Mannon
-The name of river Hammerd

Other:
-The road between Port Bax and Blave is turned into a river

After Capability Brown and Bloody Stupid Johnson comes Totally Wrong Banedon , the Brotherhood mage with an interest in landscaping and drinking.

if the map was passed by joe denver who is right and who is wrong :?

Ah, but you'll often find that original creators are less knowledgeable about their own creations than fans are. That's why we're so geeky!

...and why fans get so annoyed when things aren't just right.

So, errr, what's happening with the list of errors? Are they going to be corrected?

Yes.

I've got the corrected map in my inbox at the moment. Prince Pelethar's banner and the names of the tunnels are still missing, but that's because of space and detail issues respectively. Everything else is where it should be.

I thank you for taking into consideration our comments. It is greatly appreciated.

Say... hum... There's still some typos on that revised map: Durncrag is read Durngrag and the river Durenon became Durenor.
