New Hyperion

the hyperion front is flatter and more box like than the existing model is, looks good though.

I wonder what is next for a resculpt?

I like it. The current Hyperion is showing its age, mine is a bit wonky donkey and everyone I know with one has the same story of mishapen and mould line lumps

They look sweeet! Does anyone know if there are there still plans to remodel the Omega [and/or the Nova]? When I got that model I definitely got the feeling the master mould was pretty well used by that point...

Glad most of you guys like the new models.
Yes, the nose is flatter than the older model but is now much closer to the shape in the show, which was indeed flat and relatively blunt.

yeah its nice but we already have a hyperion model for now, as burger said theres ships we actually need models for that some of us have been waiting patiently for over a year.

Unlikely. Mongoose have stated on various occasions that ActA will be staying all metal for the forseeable future.

At a guess the ones already boxed and ready will be available but they wont make new ones till the new Hyps roll out? (or maybe a new version fleet box without any Hyperions? Doesnt seem terribly likely though since its such a cornerstone ship for all three eras)

I would bet that the stores of Hyperions will continue to be sold until the new ones come out or the current supply is eliminated. Whichever comes first.

So if they run out of boxes but stil have Hyperions left that no one wanted, they'll probably put them in more boxes...

As long as they replace some more of the master molds I'll be happy, one of my old Hyperions has a twisted engine block and no amount of man-handling has got it any straighter. Any idea if they're making a specific model for each of the other Hyperion varints, or other variant ships available?

According to the article there will be a model for each of the variants (there are pics of the standard, pulse and rail Hyperion.
