New Flight Stands

Mongoose
Hi All, a friend of mine just came up with a new type of generic flight stand. I will be selling them in packs of 4 stands. Hope you all like them. I'll have prices this weekend. Let me know if you are interested.

wow...do the fighters overhang the base square though?
any chance of the stems being in metal?

You sure your friend came up with those? I've been seeing them around for a while now:

yes.... yes those boats are floating in the air. Don't bother with the game system unless you enjoy messing around with overly simplistic rules that require you to bullshit ship stats from scratch.

Give it a year or 2, and I'll have my own gaming system out using the same models(hopefully!)

They're not floating in the air, their just designed so that you can make your ships sink realistically... :D

Oh and depict submerged subs... :)

And have aircraft fyling at at sealevel... :?

Okay I give up... :(

BTW- the 'flying ships' is a Victorian Sci-Fi called Aeronef. Think Jules Verne kind of thing. The models are quite, quite good; however the rules as written by Wessex (Not Brigade) are quite the UK 'Club' "roll a 6 to hit", type of game.

My local club in Central Texas has actually been working on a VAS/ACTA 'mod' for Aeronef, to clean up the rules. The LOOK of the game is fabulous. Last week in Houston, the guys had a great looking game.

I've heard of you guys before!

Are you the ones that did 'When Dreadnoughts ruled the Skies'? I thought you were, but when I checked your site I couldnt find the link to the rules.

Anyway, good luck with your rules, I've been stuck on the movement section of mine(specifically ramming) for the past 2 months(been busy). You could sorta say my rules are a 'mod' as well(to the VAS/ACTA system), but by the time I'm done with it you won't be able to recognize the source ruleset!

EDIT - Found the rules on your site, yep, it's you guys.

Well, we're actually a loose alliance of rambunctious Texans, all doing our own THANG, y'know? 8)

But yah, WDRTS is one of the guy's initial stab at fixing Aeronef. Since then, we've been moving in some new directions (the point system was a bear, and Digs were a big problem), and hopefully in the next month or so should have some new stuff worked out!

sweet, cuz i look forward to testing it out, using it as some much needed inspiration to get my own ruleset done.

If I'm ever in Texas(my favorite state!) though, I will definitely see if I can't pay a visit as an ambassador from the wild urban jungles of the northeast.

GW has in bits the swivel part, I'll try and find a good pic.

Bacisly a ball in a tube, lts you pull a mini off the base, for storage and keep breakage of stems down.

Oh like 0.45 - 0.55 cents a peice.
