Gaim Kuach Minesweeper
A modified Warbird, these ships are optimized for minesweeping, but also make decent warships.

Gaim Suom Medium Carrier
Bought from the Centauri, these hulls can deploy a variety of fighters and are decent combatants.

Gaim Moas Gunship
Among the most powerful of the Gaim ships, the Moas is a converted Markab hull armed with a combination of torpedoes and pulse cannons.

The one model we haven't seen [from Mongoose] before.

Gaim Slyach Frigate
Purchased from the Abbai, these frigate hulls have been converted into powerful and maneuverable warships.

Gaim Reska Light Fighters
A converted Raider Delta-V, these are by far the most common Gaim fighters.

So, just out of interest, how are Mongoose able to put this fleet out, even though some people (thank the gods i aint one of them) have been waiting 6 months for Drakh Motherships, or time enough for the models from Armageddon that haven't been released yet, or the metal bases that I've had on order since the end of September that still aren't available?

C'mon Mongoose, get this stuff sorted. Loyal customers that have paid you good money in faith and are being given the right royal F**k here while you keep pumping out new stuff and ignoring the multitude problems you have!

They can put it out because the molds already exist for the Pak'mara. They are the old AOG molds.

This way they can put out new product why they try to figure out why the Drakh Mothership molds keep collapsing/

I hope we don't see too much of the "second hand fleet" stuff. It's a cop out. Although, if they failed to repaint the second hand ship, the Pak could be a viable second fleet for any number of other race players.

I don't like how the new ship are so two-dimensional. I know it makes for easy molds and casting, but it also makes for ships that look like molds and casting were paramount in their design. B5 had so many three-dimensionally interesting ships, it just seems wrong to make metal chits for ships we didn't see in the show.

Good to see a bad decision reversed, good to see the Pak are back. I always felt that the democratic - even anarchic - nature of the PMR would lead to every one of their ships wearing a different colour scheme, but that's just me.

Hope we get to see the their other minis - the Thar'Not'Ak and the Resh'Kas'ku (sp, in both cases) in due course.

If the Por'Fa'Tis is now a Patrol PL ship, do they actually still have a fighter?

The secondhand ships are one of the few things Mongoose has got right recently. The only Pak ships we see in the show are Pak piloted Warbirds.

I'm curious to known though why two of the old Pak minis are missing from the new range, and why they went the cop out fighter becomes a patrol ship route again.

Again, for the moment, this is a release that miniatures wise takes very, very little effort from Mongoose. If there are to be more Pak'ma'ra ships in the future then they will be a fair time coming. This also means that they haven't impacted at all (to my knowledge) on the Drakh (and other) moulds collapsing issue.

Getting the rules right - that will have taken a little time but not too long

As far as I know they can be in a mixed fleet, and yes they really do offer something to a League fleet! Even their "borrowed" hulls are retrofitted with Pak'ma'ra weaponry so that they are completely different beasts to the originals!

I'll certainly be adding a few of these to my League fleet. Nice ships, but not big on table manners :shock:
