New drive tables for non-capital ships

Not so far, as I'm reasonably content with the balancing points of MGT ship design. The scale efficiency relationship seen in the CRB works for me.

??? In MGT, standard drives cost MORE than custom, per ton. Which is what you complained about. So, not sure why you are arguing both sides....

IF I were to do custom drives, you and I would take different paths. I have not yet seen the need to do custom drives.

I haven't done custom drives yet.

So these are intended to simply replace the CRB letter drives?

I have no problem with that, save one:

Make your variant assumptions clear in any design you publish.

A design published (to the web, or wherever) with unstated variants is a trap and a betrayal. I see this happen elsewhere as well, both in designs and in simple conversation on the nature of Traveller. Been going on for years. That's no excuse.

As someone who has copped to scientific training, this should be a no-brainer for you. My own experiences with other scientists, and the fact that this thread will be read by other designers, leads me to make the statement anyway.

Dude, put down the crack pipe. That stuff is BAD for you.

^ They have a fair point, DFW. If you do use them in a design, it should be noted.

Don't sweat it. DFW gets what I'm saying ("Documentation is good"), obviously, but doesn't appreciate me getting all loud in his topic. C'est la Traveller.
