Need Cover Pics, have questionable submissions for them

FreeTrav

Cosmic Mongoose
I'm starting to put together the August 2013 issue, and was about to go to APOD for another cover when I received an email with two pics in it. The text accompanying them was "Chinglish", ["I find traveller pictures. You have for magazine."] and the styles of the two pics were so radically different that I doubt very much that the person that sent them was the artist of either of them (especially as the .cn domain that the email putatively came from doesn't seem to exist). I've attached both pics to this message; the Type S with the Horsehead Nebula in the background, strikes me as being very Andrew-Boulton-esque (with Ndege Diamond or Chris Cox being the next most likely), while I can't speak to the other (the Sollie), except to say that I've seen something similar, somewhere. If anyone can provide me with further information (including licensing info, if available) - and, if they're your work, permission to use them - I'd be grateful; I'd really like to be able to use both of these for covers.

Also regarding covers: I'd very much appreciate it if Ian Stead (Middenface) would drop me an email ASAP; I was looking at BiomassArt, and thought that a crop of the Privateer pic would look nice as a cover, so I'd like permission for that one, too.

OK, thanks. That makes them both a bit problematic, as Andrew isn't available to give permission, and I don't have a way of contacting Jesse. And they'd make such nice covers, too.

Emailed fired. I've been away. Pm on coti
If it is the privateer I am thinking of it can't be used... I think. But I can check.

I do have an email for Jesse. I think that image has been used for T5 in some way.

Re: the Horsehead pic

I wonder what the the IISS is doing that far out to Rimward? (the Horsehead Nebula would be about 460pc rimward of Sol, way beyond the Charted Space map!)

That's what one gets when one jumps from inside the 100D limit
with a damaged ship ...

Actually, given that it's so immediately recognizable as the Horsehead Nebula, I suspect very much that that pic was taken in the vicinity of Terra.
