Natural Healing by day or night?

So, a hot topic item at my gaming table has been on the matter of Natural Healing. The Conan 2e book states:

Conan 2e said:
A character recovers (3 + Constitution modifier + 1 per character level, minimum 1) hit points per day of rest. If the character undergoes complete bed rest and does nothing for an entire day, he recovers double that (minimum 2 hit points).

So according to the rulebook its days of rest that matter. Not going out during the day, fighting monsters and getting into strenuous activity and sleeping for 8 hours to get the benefits of healing. This goes contrary to the d20 SRD which states:

d20 SRD said:
With a full night’s rest (8 hours of sleep or more), you recover 1 hit point per character level. Any significant interruption during your rest prevents you from healing that night.

If you undergo complete bed rest for an entire day and night, you recover twice your character level in hit points.

A clear difference between the 2 texts on whether you need day or night bed rest. HOWEVER, there's the Carouser Feat which further complicates this:

Conan 2e Carouser Feat said:
You suffer no penalties for drunkenness, however much alcohol you drink. Furthermore, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to all Bluff and Gather Information checks related to your drinking companions after at least two hours of heavy drinking. In addition, after a night of wenching, drinking or other partying, you heal normally as though you had had a full night’s rest.

So...this either means the Natural Healing text in Conan 2e ought to be Nights of rest instead of Days or that the Carouser feat effectively doubles healing rates for a PC that stays bed-ridden all day then goes out partying at night.

I think that it would apply as "one or the other" option.

A complete day is basically the 24 hours of a single day, from... say 6:00am to 6:00am the next day.

I think that it's within that ENTIRE day of bedrest that you double the natural healing rate.

Carouser lets you have a normal day, carouse during the night, and still receive the regular day's rest benefit.

I woudn't consider waking up the next morn with two Brythunians blondes and a half-empty barrel of cheap wine a ful day of bedrest, personally.

But that's just me. ;)
