(My) Problems with Mongoose Traveller so far

Maybe lazy isn't the right word....but it definately didn't have the right feel to me as a vector (I guess that's the right word) as the means to ending a three iteration, 3,000 year (plus) interstellar civilization :roll:

I suppose, I am being biased having mainly done CT since it came out and only a few new era games that I just couln't get into the 'feel' or mode for
 
I would suggest reading the link below (it's pretty massive, but worth it) if you want to know the history of TNE and why it was done the way it was. It probably won't convince you to like it, but it may at least give you an appreciation for how it turned out the way it did - it's by Dave Nilsen (the guy in charge of TNE at the time), compiled by Loren Wiseman.

It does pretty much explain everything though.
