My Bugs (and MI) (constant pic update)

Now Squishy and his retinue got a nice base.

p.s. Tanker is here and in progress

Really love your painting skill and the bug with its Ar$# blown out will be unbelievable when finished I am sure.

If I can be a little bold and offer something in an effort to be helpful rather than critical. The mold lines and gaps in the warrior body do tend to detract from your excelent paint work. Try a little gap filling glue and the edge of a modelling knife for scraping away the mold lines and you wil have an awsome finished model

Mold lines will be taken away in the future (began to do them away since the 2nd Warrior - the ~200 pieces were a hard time).
I'm tying to avoid gaps, but warriors are a troop type of which I still need about 50 and so they won't be perfect in any way - it just takes too much time (the color sheme looks complicated but is really easy).

Good point when you are producing that many a few mold lines and a couple of gaps don't mater a diddly.

What's your opinion of the prepainted SST Evo after painting so many bugs. You obviously enjoy the painting side of the hobby and you have gone for an outside the square colour scheme. Would repaint the prepaints if you had to do it again or accept the factory paint job on the warriors and concentrate your skills on some of the bigger and more individual pieces?

I would (have to) repaint them all.
The color sheme is far too individual to mix it with regular models.
(and I don't like the standard Warrior pattern)

Tanker progress:

Wow. Just wow. I like the baby warriors, and the paint scheme's look great. Interested to see how the Plasma turns out. My favorite though is that ambushing warrior bug. That's probably one of my favorite conversions I've seen so far. I'm inspired now to finally get the game room up and running so I can work on models again (it's been about 4 months :().

I want that ambushing warrior bug on the cover of S&P! :D

Great Tanker, although I don't really like the feet positioning - every foot faces a different direction and it looks kinda awkward IMO.

It might be the pic, but I got the impression there's some greenstuff showing from beneath the black paint on the head. You could try a thicker coat, unless it's just an optical illusion thingy (or it was done on purpose). But all in all, I really like the colour scheme.

Lol, the thing on the head is the brown highlight. Down the carapce (and at the legs) you will find the same.
I admit it looks very strange in the camera flashlight.

To the leg positioning - well, it took me a lot of work but I wanted someting dynamic, not that ordinary 90-90-90-90-positioning.
Just asume he's on the move.
