According to Drivethrurpg, the .pdf is a watermarked .pdf.
I begin to wonder, I printed some pages without seeing any kind of watermark, though you have previleges to print the .pdf and that might explain that.
Also, I am wondering about some of the fonts. Not all fonts are embeded into the document. File > Document Properties > Fonts

While nothing I have seen so far is unreadable because of these lacking fonts, I begin to wonder how the .pdf differ in appearance to the book (I have not got my book yet).
I have to thank mongoose for allowing us to print pages from the .pdf, since I like to print some pages and hand out to my players sometimes. Not all RPGs I have bought as .pdf allow this though.
It is especially nice to be able to if you have any "handouts" from adventures that the players should recieve. As a collector, I do not want to put my books through the punishment of a photocopier.

But when we play at the table, no computer are allowed (except the one that has a remote to control winamps playlist, one for ambient music, one for action etc.).

I got the same with fonts as well, using Foxit reader (no Adobe bloat for me!) - it was complaining about various Aisan fonts being missing.Archer said:

I'm pretty sure that the "watermark" is just your name and the order number in the bottom-left corner of each page, so that if a free copy "mysteriously" appears online they know who the culprit is...!

THe watermark is a rather ppor form of copyright protection. When I bought a game from them and accidentally messed up my printer margins (I was printing the cover on glossy paper without margins) everything came out fine, except the watermark.
THey also do some "invisible" printing on the pagers, writing something small in yellow ink. You won't see it, but they can find it if they are checking for it.

That should be fixed. It is not that hard and doesn't add that significantly to the size considering all the fancy borders and art and stuff.

A quick compare of the two...
The shortsword entry in the PDF has a 1 subscript instead of the 2 in the printed rulebook.
The leather hauberk is still identical to the heavy leather hauberk in everything but cost.
The combat example is the same, indicating two rolls to attack.

I don't know if it's embedded or if I've picked it up from somewhere else, but I definitely haven't downloaded it separately as I wouldn't have a clue how to install it
If it is embedded then it has the text (Embedded Subset) beside it, so CelticGaramondthe2nd are not imbedded.
If you do not have the font, the headlines for the chapters look pretty much like the simple Arial font, while if you have it, the headers look a bit more intressting. More in line with the smaller celtic style text in the headings in the body text.
To install it, if you are running windows XP. Download the file. If it is compressed, uncompress it. Open Control Panel > Fonts, and drop the file in that folder. Voila, it is now installed.
