Mr Evils Brit tank Platoon

ok looking around i felt i needed a full tank platoon, but apart form massive friendly games i probably never need to feil more than 2 challys say for a tourney, so the the 4th chally was open to whatever i liked, now looking around at easy modlea i saw one with a dozer blade on for £10 but it had that ugly IFOR on the side, then i spotted a kit with a dozer blde on top so i looked inside and the dozer blade was a seperate kit, excelent il add that to a MGP chally, so for £6.50 i bought it.

got the kit home and although slightly lower it was good infact very good for size, so i thought id use it as a blown up tank, excelent, then i had a Car Mot wich ahs made me a little low on the £ so i have decided to use the kit as my chally after all to save some pennies.

i have a record of how the paint should go on but i opted to copy the scheme the MGP chally has so it fits in better, evan painting in the eye.

so it looks a little different i agree, but this is my engineers version, this is the one called into to push blocades out of the way or do any bulldozing thats needed, the command Chally is the one with a unionjack on the side.

ok as always with my posts some pics :D

the 2 rear ones are as bought but with a spray of dullcoat, i may magic wash them and define the stripes more.

for those wishing to get things acurate on painting the colours should be olive drab 2 for the green and the black should be black - 80% mixed with olive drab 2 - 20% but i used just black.

number on the side was painted on with bubonic brown to mix with MGP ones.

at first look that extra chally seems the same scale

but i am right in saying it looks a little longer n little narrower

nice work on the paint by the way canny see any difference!

I have a couple of those Challies as my Challies (need to save every penny I can, which is a real pain as a war gamer). What did you use as the cammo netting on the barrel, as that looks quite cool.

Also what are size comparisons like?

That's the Trumpeter Chalenger II MBT (KFOR) kit, isn't it?

In the case of the CII, the 1:72 models work fine in tune with the MGP ones.

I've made some comparisions here:

A 1:72 CII model is narrower but longer, compared with the MGP model.

Looking at the pics you put up Fanaticus, it looks like the Easy Challie is a touch longer and a touch narrower, but only by a couple of mill eaither way. :)

Cheers.

Exactly that.
1:72 CII Models can be used with no problems, and with better detail.

The Abrams is a whole different matter...

yes i think it was a kit by trumpeter. threw the box out as soon as i finished it though :D

it doese the job as far as i can see, as for tourney games i cant see me ever feilding 4 of them.

4 Challies is quite a lot ain't it..... and thats before you consider adding in some of the tanks the EFTF are getting, such as Leopard 2 with its 140mm gun.... Its gonna be a tank killer supreme I am sure.
