Anyone know of a good was to come from the continent and get to the Mongoose Hall event?

Just don't forget to do it in a Veyronlastbesthope said:msprange said:If you do not mind a long day, I would suggest driving there and back on the same day - I have done this for a convention in Germany. . .
That sounds like a Top Gear challenge.

On a serious note, I don't think any car from any country matches the Buggati Veyron for raw power and speed.

As for global warming, we've already had 1.5 degrees Celcius and another 1-3 are pretty much inevitable in the next century. That's already having massive effects on the world and is the biggest threat to global health and economic productivity that we've ever seen.

Ummm, no. Probably best we leave this one alone. It's unlikely that either will convince the other.![]()

Lord save us from the global warming lunacy (I'm looking out the window at snow, thank you very much) I'll survive the additional one degree ;> As for travelling for gaming, I don't need speed so much as capacity for storage and power. Our wallets don't need to be quite so big as yours (though it's getting there)
For conventions, the "Battlestar" carrys books and lead for at least five or six games with room to spare.

Don't want to get into the is it happening/how bad will it be debate, doubt I would change anyone's mind in 1 post, but the main problem with global warming isn't that we'll feel hotter and can't go skiing, its the disruption to the global food supply. Just because you live in a cold climate doesn't mean you will be unaffected, its the changes including very importantly rainfall in the food producing parts of the world that will affect you. Your problems (however bad it may get) will have more to do with the weather in Iowa and Kansas than Colorado.
Excellent point! (I'd forgotten that)lastbesthope said:Triggy said:When you have to pay $10.50 a gallon, let me know - that's roughly what we're paying in the UK.
Don't forget to allow for the fact that our gallons are a different volume from US gallons as well.
