Momgoose and Avenger

Mongoose
Hi guys,
I just wanted to say that I was really chuffed to see you advertising Avenger's Golden Age Starships (got it already 8) )

I really wanted to ask if we are going to see more of Martin J Dougherty and Avenger's work published by the Mongoose?

I really was happy to get my copy of Spinward Marches, I loved Martin's GURPS book and the new Mongoose Traveller book was equally a brilliant piece of work 8) 8) 8)

So, basically, I just figured that it was a good idea to come online and ask the Mongoose direct, are we going to be able to buy more books written by Martin from your good selves?

I really would like to get some more of Martin's work in a hard, print, book copy, fingers crossed :D

Project Steel is coming in May. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=1664&qsSeries=Traveller

Would Mongoose/Avenger/Comstar ever consider compiling a bunch of the GA starship pdf's and make a print book via your Cobra imprint...? :)

oh, toooooooooo Cooooooool 8)

I totally love the Sword Worlds, brilliant
gonna have to pimp my budget so I can get that one :D

Just finished reading the Project Steel blurb
I am soooooooo sold on this one

perfect for my players, just wish it was out now
as we've finished staving off zhodani threats to the marches fo r the moment and I just cant figure out what to do with them now :x

Are going to see a Mongoose "SwordWorlds" sourcebook any time?

I would love to see that, I have the GURPS one and its brilliant but I would certainly not be averse to purchasing another book with even more
Swordie goodness (especially if Martin wrote it :D )

that would be cool too but I hate PDF's (I only buy them, reluctantly, if I cant get a print copy) could we see a book maybe?

I dont know about the other 2 things that have been asked but project Steel is good having seen it.

I'd also love to see a combined print edition of the pdfs, whether via Mongoose's Flaming Cobra imprint, or via Lulu (though the latter only if the print options are set up for US Letter and UK/European A4, because then a softcover can be obtained outside of the US without the exhorbitant P&P charges Lulu have introduced for anything being shipped from the US).

I was just curious is there's a sub license since Avenger is using OTU material? Or it's because they have a license from FFE/Marc?

I'm hoping for some Golden Age alien ships .pdfs like more Zhodani ships or Vargr ones.

thanks

Mike

Our license with FFE expired (that is sunset) in November.
As for what else is planned in the GAS line I cant say but has jogged my memory to chat to Michael again.
You can always talk to us direct your on the TAS forum IIRC.

There is a plan to do a print compilation of golden age starships 1-5 - and fairly soon, via Mongoose of course. I'm doing the artwork for this book in the next couple of weeks.

As for more starship titles, I will be doing some more, and not concentrating on imperial ones, but the Avenger title "Traders and Raiders" is currently in artwork phase and will have some tasty vargr and zho ships in it. This one was written by mjd.

I'm sure people want more mjd, he wrote many titles beore our license was puled, so i'm sure more are coming.

seriously though, it all sounds good 8)

and the more Vargr ships that get depicted the better,
Vargr raiders just seem to be a Traveller staple
(and besides, who doesnt like Vargr?!)

Hmm, I wonder if there is going to be any example of Swordworld ships in taht book, I'm jsut on a Swordworld bender at the moment

You know, I really should probably jsut go get teh pdf I guess
I have golden age starships, I just prefer books though, think I'll put the cash aside (if I ever get any  ) for the book :D

I moght have missed this but is raiders & Traders in the Golden Age series or a new stand alone? :)
