Yeah I don't get that point, too. It is alright to fire a 50.cal on a soldier or a RPG (both makes a real mess with human bodies) but it is not allowed to display game-wise what certain insurgents do to fight against the enemy (aka 'boom' - you are gone and I get my virgins). :roll:
MEA actually has alot of american kit if you go by whats happening out here. the iraqis have loads of humvees for starters.
wouldnt really want to see sea kings, they more a search and rescue or anti-sub warfare. better to have pumas and merlins for troop transports. also make sure to get mastifs in for the brits.
Suicide units are a tactic of desperation, mate - The province of the impoverished and desperate. And it's true that a lot of middle and far eastern movements are reduced to that at present...
...but one of the core conceits of BFE, you'll recall, was that the MEA is a genuine contender, collectively speaking, for superpower status. In other words, MEA forces don't HAVE to resort to those tactics to score points any more, and that probably includes the grassroots militia who'll no doubt ebenfit from influxes of capital and arms from the rest of the Middle East rather than the odd state or underground group.
*smile* Besides, if you're just gagging to blow your own guys up, I always thought the Fedayeen IED came perilously close to being a suicide bomb if you didn't time JUST right. :lol:
Well, they're still listing FIST and Land Warrior and such as an option. Modern Combat is, I think, set up to allow modenr or near-future stuff as the players desire, so stuff like the T-100 might still be in the cards. I think.
That's a more realistic possibility, but there's like a dozen things or more you can do with a good truck, I can't see a competent MEA leader throwing a resource like that away.
Nah, I'm thinking you may have to be content with the Mirsad-1 (I believe) for the foreseeable future. Model planes being cheap, easily replaceable and not of critical importance for logistics (and conversion to proper Technicals).
