I'd love to see the return of the Traveller News Service. It adds to the richness of the setting and the turns the Third Imperium into a living, dynamic place in which to adventure.
While it could be done as before, a few paragraphs per week or month, published on a website, forum, or email, I believe it would be best as an app for both distribution of background "fluff" and as a marketing tool for new product. New setting book coming out? Use adventure hooks in the TNS to highlight why I might want to take my game there. Use it to introduce us to NPC's or new equipment, provide short articles on worlds or animal encounters.
Another idea, to take a page from the DM's guild, is to allow the fans to create content for the TNS, or at least PART of the TNS. I'd love to publish short paragraphs of what's happening in my campaign to both inspire and be inspired by others posts.
