Missing Civilian Vehicles Order?

On 1 AUG 09 I did a pre-order for Civilian Vehicles and Military Vehicles, as they were supposed (at the time) to be ordered that month.

Order: 7975091

Based on many pre-orders over the last several years, if shipped by Mongoose when it reached your warehouse, it will get to me here in Oz at least two, and more often three or four, weeks in advance of it hitting the shelves of the local stores (i.e. it takes 3-5 working days to get here from the UK).

I don't know when the pre-orders were shipped, but I walked into a store today and it was on the shelves, which would indicate it must have been released close to the beginning of the month.

Needless to say, it hasn't arrived in my mailbox yet.

The last time this happened (it's only happened the once out of many orders), it was because I pre-ordered something that was then delayed.

I presume there's a chance it hasn't been shipped, by error, and would appreciate it if you could check, to see if it has, indeed, been shipped ... if you have ... it is extremely rarely the case that parcels are delayed (happens maybe once every five or ten years, and I do a lor of mail order, so I know 8) ) ... so if you have shipped it, I'll wait a couple more weeks to see if it turns up.

If it hasn't been shipped, then could I get a credit for the order as, naturally, I bought the copy I saw today ... didn't want to wait another week, see ... and I'm sure that I'll spend it on some other Mongoose Traveller or Earthdawn stuff :wink:

Oh, and if you could check and make sure that the Military Vehicles book I ordered is on the pre-order list for whenever it is released next month, I'd appreciate that, too.

Excellent idea. That is, IIRC, what I did last time ... when someone suggested it ... it's not like it happens all that often :wink:

Just to let everyone know, Civilian Vehicles has not reached us here in the UK just yet (should be next week), and we dispatch all orders except those going to US and Canada from here.

As soon as we get them, they will be leaving for you the same day, so there should not be long to wait.

Ah well, the local stores must be sourcing from somewhere new, in the US one presumes. Which may be good, if it's permanent, as I can support my FLGS without ordering through Mongoose.

In the meantime, thanks for the info, looks like I know what I'm giving someone for Christmas :wink:
