Minor Darrians Nitpick

On page 3 of AM3: Darrians, it states "...Wide pelvic structures give Darrian females less chance of birth complications but make balancing upon narrow beams or ledges more difficult."

Wider hips actually make it easier to balance, because a woman's centre of gravity is in the pelvis.

Other than that, great supplement and I plan on having a lot of fun with it.

I could imagine that a wide pelvic structure could make it more difficult
to walk on something narrow, and this in turn could make it more diffi-
cult to keep the balance there.

It could but they would have to be ridiculously wide for that to be the case. They would still be better at it than a man.

An interesting test. Have a man stand against a wall, heels touching the wall and try to bend over and touch toes. Have a woman do the same. Watch the results... ;)

I can confidently say that my balance only got better as my pelvis got wider via hormones, and I am pretty badonkadonk. Ditto for my female friends, although I don't think they'll let me make a video of them falling off balance beams to prove it to the internet people.

Except that Darrians do not have the same skeletal structure we do - their knees do not "knock", and therefore they can't get them towards their centerline as easily.

This also implies that Darrians "waddle" a bit when they walk, which amuses me. :)

There's also a note that Darrians have very little if any body fat, which means that Darrian hips are all muscle and bone. (It also means Darrian females aren't going to have much on top compared to Terrans.)

Which means more dense and a lower center of gravity.

Lower center of gravity is not nescessarily better for balance. 'Top heavy' is often better. Try balancing a stick on your palm with a weight in the middle as opposed to the weight being at the very top and you will see what I mean. Dean Kamen could have never invented the iBot or the Segway if he still thought a lower center of gravity was better for balance. It literally required a slip in the shower and a bump on the head for him to come to that realization.
