if there isnt one then how about this? its got so much scope and background from feists novels. plus you can add pretty much anything you want via the hall of worlds and rift travel.

In my opinion, you could use D&D pretty much without modification. You'd need to toss in some rift rules, and a few minor alterations to the magic (the Tsurani use of patterns and devices, for instance) but overall I think standard 3.5 would handle pretty much everything I can think of. Am I forgetting anything that falls too far outside the regular D&D setting?

I thin the D20 system would work fine. and mongoose is known for doing its own magic systems to work with that. perhaps theres even one of mongooses magic books that would already work for midkemia.
