Medical Bay?

Jak Nazryth

Mongoose
I couldn't find a Med Bay component in Mongoose Basic or High Guard.
Is the size of a Med Bay discussed somewhere in another book? Maybe Merchant Price? Or did I just miss it?
If not, I suppose I'll just use the good old fashioned 8 tons for a full medical suite/operation and use GURPS for smaller first aid stations etc...

It all depends on how many you want to be able to treat at one time, the TL of the ship & what level of care you want to be able to provide.

I seem to remember that one of the official deckplans used the data for
a laboratory from High Guard for a Med Bay, giving it 4 dtons, but I am
not certain.

By the way, if you have GURPS Traveller Starships, you can use almost
all of its modules for Mongoose Traveller designs without "breaking the
system", only power plant and drives function differently enough to cau-
se problems if used for the other system.

Got it! :)

After being fully satisfied with rpgdrivethru with Cstars I'll be using them again to get Darrians when I'm paid if my gf wants to still use them.

They are in Darrians and Merchants and Cruisers too.
The details of the sickbay are specifically called out in "Darrians" on page 85.

Now, if you want something more capable than a sickbay, you could always install one of the three different medical facilities detailed in "Starports" on page 54. Even though they're for inclusion in starport designs, these make great additions when one is constructing dedicated hospital ships. After all, what is a High Port but a freakin' huge spacecraft designed to stay in orbit or a single location in deep space and service other spacecraft?

Conversion of the Size characteristic of these installations into displacement tonnage can be found in "Starport" on page 42.

EXCELLENT!
And my Darrians book just came in the mail today!
Thanks Warlock! :)
Don't have Starports though. I already have GURPS starports and it has lots of usefull information covering all kinds of cool high port stuff.
