Meaning to ask..

Why are there differences in historical dates for ships in the D20 book vs ACtA? Wouldn't it have been easier to just use one source instead of having 2?

I'm only inquiring because I'm working out a campaign for EA vs Raiders and I was hoping to start mid 2100s up to the Minbari war but if I want to use ACtA, there's only the Hermes before 2190 whereas the D20 has more to choose from pre-2200.

Guess I'm just ranting. I'm going to use the D20 book for stuff until 2200 then use the 2ed fleet list from there on.

I should have the first report up by the end of the week. Looking forward to finally playing something more then 1 ship vs 1 ship.

As I understand it some of the ships with later ISDs represent later versions of ships that did indeed serve in earlier wars like the Dilgar war. Good example of this is the Avenger or half the Narn fleet.

or more likely, the D20 writers, and the ACTA writers didn't get together for coffee and biscuits as often as they could, hence discrepancies and suchlike.
on the plus side it meant I could develop the shield ship, and temple ship for the drakh

the Mongoose Publishing Babylon 5 Roleplaying book utilising the D20 OGL licence. It, like ACTA was a casualty of the licence expiry,. There were a whole */+&load of books. Many of them had ship writeups and suchlike.
Check ebay, or some stockists might still have some in

The Narn handbook has little to add except ground and air vehicles - it has one additional warship pictured (but not stated/described :? ) which I wrote into the Dilgar War pack (soon to come). Couple of cargo ships (ditto)

Many of the stats don't easily translate as the rpg has different ways (and some very strange - gun power vs armour for one) of describing things and it was often written using 1st ed weapons/styles as a reference.

Centauri handbook is similar - as is the League book

The Ships of the Galaxy has a few more ships for races and some crop up in scenarios/campaigns
