i had the same prob. You have to get a file and carefully file away some of the metal from the bit that goes on the top, stopping freuently seeing if it fits yet. that should work, i manage to get it to fit on, but it was still a bit tight
Got 1 and must say I had no problems with it at all, fit together perfectly and is a nice ship (though the turret was missing at first but I replaced it with a spare similar turret I had lying around)
I used a saw to cut very thin slivers from each side of the 'slot' of the top hull. There is a slight gap in the front that I rationalize as the hangar bay. Mine too had a broken side gun thing, but superglue fixed that. The front boom is an incredible hassle, but the ship looks funny without it. In the end, your marathon might resemble something like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/Darzoni/Miniatures/A%20Call%20To%20Arms/Marathon2.jpg only with fewer turrets.
Animus: YOu were likely stymied by a stray comma that had attached itself to the Hypertext link. It should work now.... unless Photobucket is having seizures again as I've heard...
Has anyone else gotten a Marathon with an engine section that's kind of mismolded so the engine thruster is kind of lemon shaped instead of round?
