Maneuver Blind Opponent

I'm a tad bit confused about the Blind Opponent Maneuver. If it cannot be used unless the defender successfully criticals his Parry, what is the attacked rolling again? A second roll that is an opposed test? Not against the first roll that was the critical that allowed the maneuver?

So once the maneuver was attempted both attacker and defender must roll again to see if the defender pulls of the Blind Opponent with Evade? If not how can the attacker hope to beat the already critical Parry?

A and B are fighting. A attacks and B critically parries. This gives B one CM and he can choose Blind as he has a critical. B's roll was 03 (out of 70%).

To avoid being blinded, A must now oppose B's 03 with an Evade roll. A's Evade is 45%, which means he can avoid being blinded only if he rolls 04 or 05 (a critical, but a higher critical roll than B's 03). Anything else means A will suffer the blindness and lose 1D3 CA.

Blind is a devastating CM, which is why its a crit-only option. Only A has to roll again (his Evade), comparing his result with B's existing Parry.
