Magic World

Both actually, but I always fail my Persistence roll against SHINY. ;)

Plus I'm keep to support Chaosium's work whenever I can as they are the wellspring from which so many great things have flowed...
Fairies nuts. Me too. Even though I don't use half the stuff I've got!

Chaosium are legends, so yeah...supporting them is definitely right up there. My wife did some work for Chaosium fairly recently.

The setting in MW is almost purely an example. Ben has indicated that there might be some expansion of it, but it's really like the material presented in RQ6, an example world used to present the rules material and a start to designing your own campaign.

He's currently gathering errata from those who have purchased the PDF, some of the errors he's managed to get into the manuscript before submission to the printer, other issues are going into an errata document that will be available via download. Updated PDF's should be available via download. As Chaosium doesn't do like OBS and show you if any of your downloads have been updated by the publisher you'll need to keep an eye on Ben's postings. I'd suggest at BasicRolePlaying.com or rpg.net forums.

Tshhh ... why not wait a little to get all the errata into the printed book. Hope anything critical won't be left out.

The problem was that the material had been sent to the printer at the same time as the PDF release. After the extra proofing from the PDF buyers Ben and Chaosium scrambled to update the PDF that is at the printer. Some of the early errors got fixed but some others were found too late for the print run.

I wonder if this lesson and the similar issues with SGB and RQ6 will make publisher's think that it might be sensible to wait a week or ten days after the release of the PDF before sending the file to the printer. It might be annoying for hard copy buyers to wait a little longer but having a more error free book might be a pay off.

I'm sure that Mongoose have found the response from buyers to the issues in SGB helpful in getting a better product on the shelves.

Fortunately in the case of SGB it hadn't gone to the printers, so fixing it at the PDF stage is just a case of working through cult section, which is nearly done and applying that to the adventures as well as the other fixes to NPCs and monsters.

I haven't been asked to look at the player character sections though.
