LW continued?

I have mine and like it so much, that I would like to add a second to the shelf. But money issues force me to buy new books and refrain from getting security copies :-)

I'd love to start LW, but without a core rulebook and a couple of supplements, it would be hard.

If you're in the UK, we still have some in stock :)

Sadly (very sadly), I live in the US where Lone Wolf is unheard-of. I have had to obtain the texts from projectaon which I discovered quite happily a few months previously. Before that time, I had never heard of Mr. Dever's opera. I may be wrong, but it seems that the genre of gamebooks in general has been either outright banned in the US or very seriously--and purposely--restricted. To cite another example, the Fighting Fantasy series is virtually unobtainable here, almost as if there was a concerted effort to keeep them out of the hands of American consumers. Let's hope there will be a new printing of the core rules so that a "new generation" can enjoy the RPG as well as Mr. Dever's marvelously creative, interactive fiction!

If you tell more of your friends about the Project Aon website (which has most of the Lone Wolf books that they can play for free) then perhaps they'll start to know more about it.

I live in the U.S. and back when I was younger (7-12 years old) I was able to get ahold of Lone Wolf 1, 2, 3, and 4 and Grey Star 2 at my local library. Then I was able to read Lone Wolf 6-14 once I started 7th grade. They had them at the junior high I went to.

But yeah, they are hard to find. Except on eBay.

Or you could just find them all here as free web books for you to read at your leisure :).

I seem to be too stupid. What have I to do to read 'em offline, once I downloaded the book(s)?

@mthomason: On another note, is this by you?! :-)

LOL

For one moment there I was about to deny being August Hahn.

Then I realised you meant the review ;)

Yeah, that was by me :) (wow, doesn't seem like two years ago)

Man, you're NOT August Hahn? Why did I ever bother talking to you?!

Time does pass swiftly recently, doesn't it.

I'm off, reading more of your amazon reviews ;-)

Edit: There seem to be none more...Did you stop advertising stuff over at other online stores? :)

Heh

The only reason I wrote that one was because it was for LW, and it was sitting there looking so forlorn and unwanted with no reviews :)

Hi guys,

The main rulebook is just about to come back into print, and we have all sorts of LW-related bits and pieces on the cards. Nothing will happen overnight, and LW will likely always be a 'slower' line than, say, Babylon 5, but we by no means consider it dead. . .

That's great new, as Lone Wolf is a very special line. I don't care if it progresses slowly, as long as it is still there, whenever I care to check :-)

Matt, could you please say if it's the hardcover core book as it has been or will it be a pocket version right now?
